Balboa Avenue, San Diego
Ceramic Seal
Long lasting shine, gloss and ultra UV protection, applied in the tunnel as part of the same pass.
What San Diego sun does to paint
Ultraviolet light is slow and patient. Year after year it breaks down the clear coat that sits over your color, and the first signs are easy to miss: a flatter shine on the hood, a chalky look on the roof, color that seems a shade tired next to the same model in a garage.
Cars that live outside in a coastal, sunny city like San Diego take that exposure every day. Washing removes the dirt, but it doesn't put a barrier back between the paint and the sky. A sealer is the layer meant to do that job.

How does Ceramic Seal get on the car?
It's applied inside the tunnel at Balboa Express, in the same pass as the wash, so there's no separate appointment and no extra stop. The coating is there for long lasting shine, gloss and ultra UV protection.
Two ways to get it. Ceramic Seal is included with the Platinum Plus plan, or you can add it for an additional $4 with any single wash. Single-wash prices aren't published online, so call (858) 495-9274 and the crew on Balboa Avenue will tell you what today's wash costs.
Beading as the sign it's working
The easiest way to read a sealed surface is water. After rain or the next rinse, droplets on the hood pull up into tight beads and roll off instead of spreading flat. That behavior is the visible sign the seal is still doing its job.
When the beading gets lazy and water starts to sheet and cling again, that's your cue to repeat it. Between seals, regular washes keep grime from sitting on the surface, and the plans make that a habit rather than a decision each time. The ladder is on the plans page, and the finishing steps that pair with a seal are covered under Wax, shine and protect.

What pairs with a seal
A seal sits best on paint that was washed gently, so start with the Soft Touch Wash, then compare tiers on the plans page.
