Balboa Avenue, San Diego
Free Vacuums
A vacuum on each side of the car, a Free Rapid Air System for the tight spots, and no charge on any plan.
What collects inside a car
The outside of a car gets washed by a tunnel. The inside gets lived in. Sand rides in on shoes after a beach day, pet hair weaves into carpet, crumbs slide into the seams of the seats, and dust settles into the vents where a cloth can't reach.
That's why an exterior wash alone can leave a car feeling half done. Clean paint on the outside and a gritty floor mat on the inside is the mismatch most drivers notice first when they get back behind the wheel.

How do the vacuum bays work?
Each bay at 6066 Balboa Avenue puts a vacuum on each side of the car, so you can work both doors without dragging a hose around the bumper. There's a high pressure hose in the bay, and the self-pay kiosks are ergonomic.
The Free Rapid Air System is the part worth knowing about. It's there to blow out the dust and water from those pesky areas: vents, seams and door jambs that a vacuum nozzle skips. It's the quickest way to chase out the last water after the tunnel.
Vacuums are free on every plan, from Bronze up. You can see the full plan ladder on the plans page, or call (858) 495-9274 with a question.
A short interior routine for after the tunnel
Start with the floor mats. Pull them out, shake them, and vacuum the carpet underneath while they air out. Then do the seats, pushing the nozzle deep into the seams where crumbs and sand hide.
Finish with the Free Rapid Air System: vents first, then door jambs and the gaps around the console, so the dust and water leave the car instead of settling again. The bays are open from 8 AM to 8 PM every day, weather permitting.
Free vacuums come with every Balboa Express plan. Open 8 AM to 8 PM daily, weather permitting. Call (858) 495-9274.
Bays under the solar canopy
The vacuum bays sit under solar canopies, and the whole wash runs on the sun. You can read how in solar and water. If you haven't picked a plan yet, the plans page lists what each tier adds, and the Soft Touch Wash page covers the tunnel you drive through first.
